Daniel was a character in Season 5.
He is an executive of Bad Programming, the media broadcasting company affiliated with Bad Games. He attended Trent Donnovich's stag, along with his partner. They both saw Arbiter and Chief's Hypernews show, and became fans. They both, along with Trent, wanted to purchase it. The two discussed it at the stag, but after Arbiter found out Trent was cheating on Claire, any possibility of it happening was lost.
