Melee is the fourth episode of the first season of Arby 'n' the Chief.

Summary[]

After griping about Forge, the Arbiter challenges Master Chief to a one-on-one duel on Halo 3, but it doesn't last long when the Arbiter gets a kill that should have been the Chief's.

Plot[]

Arbiter is attempting to create a wall in Halo 3 forge mode, with no success. Master Chief is sitting by the wall of the living room and is trying to trick Arbiter by convincing him that he is drunk. Arbiter is not fooled by this and notices that Chief simply wrote the word "Beer" on several water bottles without even spelling it correctly and offers to play split-screen on Halo 3 with him.

They begin the game, playing on the map Standoff. Arbiter manages to kill Chief with a melee attack, despite Chief hitting him first. Enraged, Chief goes to theater mode and proves that he got the first hit. Arbiter explains to Chief that the mechanics of the melee system award the kill to the player that had the most health during a simultaneous attack. Chief decides to send Bungie an angry e-mail about the system but Arbiter attempts to reason with him. Arbiter manages to prove Chief wrong and still upset, he sits back down on the couch with Arbiter.
